Printing Process

Atlas Corporate Screen Printing Unit

Screen Printing

Minimum Quantity 100 Pc's

Screen printing t-shirts manufacturer, Screen printing is a technique that involves using a woven mesh screen to support an ink-blocking stencil to receive a desired image.

The screen stencil forms open areas of mesh that transfer ink or other printable materials, by pressing through the mesh as a sharp-edged image onto a substrate (the item that will receive the image).

Screen printing is also sometimes known as silkscreen printing. One colour is printed at a time, so several screens can be used to produce a multicoloured image or design.

Discharge Printing

Minimum Quantity 350 Pc's

This type of ink, often used with water-based inks, leaves nothing at all behind– in fact, it takes something away.

Discharge ink has a chemical (formaldehyde) that essentially bleaches the dye out of the garments. It’s especially useful for dark or colored garments– but can only be used effectively on 100% cotton. When you “discharge” the dye from a garment, you’re creating an (almost) white base.

Printing dark garments with Plastisol, on the other hand (or should I say heavier hand), requires a layer of white ink to create an opaque under base to print vibrant colors. It can make for a heavier print even before layering all the colors on top. There are thinners and techniques to reduce the ink deposit, but truly soft-hand Plastisol prints are the exception, not the rule.

Color vibrancy (brightness, saturation) is where Plastisol shines, especially on darker garments.

Water-based inks can produce a vibrant print on lighter garment colors, but still not as well. When you need your colors to be rich and brilliant and pop off the print, go with Plastisol screen printing. It’s one of the reasons it remains the long-time industry standard.

Glitter Printing Effect

Minimum Quantity 150 Pc's

Glitters can be printed separately as a single glitter layer or added to any colour shade to stand out! Glitter print is suitable for any textile type and any textile colour.

Printer's tip:

•    The printing effect optically varies in colour depending on the colour of the textile used.
•    It is possible to combine glitter with regular inks.

Metallic Printing Effect

Minimum Quantity 250 Pc's

Metallic inks are very durable and it is possible to apply them to any garment. The colour gamut offers several shades of gold and silver inks. It is possible to mix metallic inks of gold and silver from Pantone Formula Guide Solid Coated Plus Series or to use some of our already mixed and recommended favourite ones.

Technology specifics:

•    It is not possible to mix shades from Pantone Formula Guide Solid Coated Plus Series other than metallic gold and silver ones using metallic gold and silver inks.

Printer's tip:

•    It is possible to combine metallic inks with regular inks in the design.

Metallic Foil Stamping

Minimum Quantity 250 Pc's

Extra high gloss and mirroring can be achieved using the metallic hot stamping foil.

Technology specifics:

•    Metallic foils are more sensitive to abrasion, which makes their durability shorter. Textile can only be hand washed in cool water, inside out.
•    We recommend printing bigger areas. It is not possible to print gradients (very fine colour transitions) or very fine details using metallic hot stamping foil.

3D Puff Printing Effect

Minimum Quantity 250 Pc's

A technically demanding three-dimensional effect with a complex printing setup is a multilayer print layout through a specially modified screen. The design extends a few millimeters above the surface of the textile to reach the 3D effect. The resulting print has sharp edges and a smooth surface.

Printer's tip:

•    By adding HD Clear Base (transparent print) we achieve a slightly glossy touch to the top surface of the print.
•    The more layers of HD Clear Base we add, the glossier the print area will be.
